Do I have any library privileges?

A. Extended borrowing privileges.

1. Many libraries entitle the student to check out books needed for thesis or project preparation. Excluded are items in the Reserve Book Room and other especially restricted materials, such as periodicals, journals and curriculum library materials.

2. Many library items on extended loan are subject to recall after an initial two-week loan period. If not returned by specified date, fines could accrue.

3. All library materials must be returned to the Circulation Desk on or before the general call-in date at the close of each semester, quarter or month.

Evaluating the Project  The project should be evaluated at two levels. The first of these levels is the text and the logic of the presentation. The second level of evaluation should focus on the student’s mastery of the material. There are certain minimum requirements that the project or thesis must meet before it should be considered for acceptance. These minimal requirements deal with the manner of presentation of the project problem, its parameters, and analysis. Think before start selecting a Topic

1. The topic should reflect your previous studies and experience. It should be related to your completed courses; your other research; and your political, cultural, or religious experience. 2. The necessary sources should be materially accessible. You should be near enough to the sources for convenient access, and you should have the permission you need to access them. 3. The necessary sources should be manageable. In other words, you should have the ability, experience, and background knowledge needed to understand the sources. 4. You should have some experience with the methodological framework that you will use in the thesis. For example, if your thesis topic requires you to analyze a Bach violin sonata, you should be versed in music theory and analysis.
